Just a little bit about me..

I started learning about computers in 1986 when I began thinking seriously about the future. I am sometimes a procrastinator, so my wife gave me a little push. I started a drafting course that involved mostly using a drafting board. Around about the middle of the course we had a short (32 hour) CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) course requirement. Well... that opened my eyes to a whole new world. It was at that point I realized that this is the direction the drafting world was going, so I completed my entire second half of the program (800 hours of 1600 hours) on the CAD system. Mind you, this system was a single "dinosaur-ic" NorthStar mainframe (maybe 256k of memory) distributed among 8 terminals. But I was determined to get the most of it.
I completed the course with flying colors and proceeded to enhance my skills in the CAD world. Three years in the industry and I was invited to teach at the very school that started me in that direction. After 2 years of board teaching at the drafting school I was given the opportunity to work in the CAD lab. The lab was constructed of about 40 PC's of various speeds and types which grew to almost 200 in 10 years. From that point on, the boards were out and an all CAD program was in.
In that time frame I was learning and teaching, and learning and teaching, and I think you get the picture. I proceeded to get my Bachelor's Degree in Technical Management with a concentration in Computer Information Systems. Unfortunately the Market for IT was enveloped with skilled technicians and other graduates in need of a job.
So I futhered my education and know have a Masters in Teaching and Learning with Technology.

I Really didn't do it

JR Ewing was immortalized by the statement "Who Shot JR!!" Well I didn't do it!! I still remember him as Tony on I Dream of Jeannie. But Larry Hagman is still JR to me.
